Residential schools are a very dark chapter in Canadian history that we all need to learn about.

Rachel - Dartmouth, Nova Scotia

Residential Schools were originally Christian churches that the government supported in an attempt to both educate and convert Indigenous children. My project is about Roberta Bondar’s life, travels, accomplishments, and her contributions to the world. She paved the way for future research, scientists, and astronauts. She is an inspiration to all women and girls to pursue their dreams. While researching this project, I was inspired to both compose and sing a song about Roberta Bondar with the help of my cousin, Nic Nieves.
