Jeunes Citoyens / Young Citizens

Willow Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

Fair address: Regina Regional Saskatchewan Youth Heritage Fair

Project: Treaty 2

My project is about Treaty 2 in Saskatchewan, the lives of the First Nations before and the positive and negative effects of the treaty signing.

What was the most interesting thing you learned about your topic?

The most interesting thing I learned about my project is about the lives of the Ojibwe tribes were before the signing of the treaty.

What important lessons have you learned that you want to share with other Canadians?

I'd like to share with Canada about how I learned that all lives and perspectives matter even if you do things differently.

How would you compare your life today to the lives of those studied in your project?

I can compare my life to those of treaty 2 because we still have certain negotiations, discussions and arrangements now in the present day, like treaties.
