Difference between the old and new reserve. Issues with discrimination and the importance of speaking my native language (maliseet)

What was the most interesting thing you learned about your topic?

Most interesting things I learned were from when i interviewed my grandfather and to hear the difference from when he grew up in the 60s to what it's like living on the reserve today.

What important lessons have you learned that you want to share with other Canadians?

"Important lessons would include to stop discriminating people by their heritage and/or the language the speak, or the color of their skin. To be open to new possibilities and to not be afraid of who you are."

How would you compare your life today to the lives of those studied in your project?

There is a lot of differences when it comes to the rights of native people from the late 1800s to today.
